Privacy Policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
This policy explains what RankLab collects when you use the service, why, who it's shared with, and how to delete it. We collect only what the service needs to work.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, an optional display name, and the ranks you choose to save. Your password is stored only as a salted scrypt hash; we can't read it.
- Replays you upload and the match statistics parsed from them, including the in-game names and platform IDs of everyone in the match, as recorded in the replay. We also read the replay file on our own server, frame by frame, to find key moments (goals, saves, commits, kickoffs); we keep those moments with your analysis, plus a compact movement track (where the ball and each car were, about 15 times a second) so you can rewatch moments in the 3D viewer. We don't keep the file itself. Only you can open the movement track for your replays, and it's deleted with your account.
- Analyses we generate: scores, rank comparisons and coaching text, saved to your history.
- Usage counts for your plan, such as the number of analyses used this period.
We don't use advertising or analytics trackers. The only cookie is a session cookie that keeps you signed in, which is strictly necessary. Your IP address is used briefly in memory to rate-limit abuse and isn't stored with your account.
Who we share it with
- ballchasing.com parses replay files for us. Uploaded replays are sent there as private uploads under RankLab's account, and handled under ballchasing.com's own policies.
- Anthropic, when AI coaching is enabled. We send the computed statistics, scores and detected moments for the analysed player to generate coaching text. We don't send your email, password or replay file.
- Our hosting and database providers, which store the data above on our behalf, and our email provider, which delivers password-reset emails to your address.
We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your account and analyses until you delete them. You can permanently delete your account and everything stored with it from your Account page. Copies of replays already uploaded to ballchasing.com aren't removed by deleting your RankLab account.
Children
RankLab isn't directed at children under 13, and they shouldn't create an account. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights and contact
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. Most of this can be done from your Account page. For anything else, contact us (contact address to be published before launch).
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. We'll tell signed-in users about significant changes.
